IUCN – Economic evaluation of a wetland: the case of Diawling, Mauritania

This study focuses on the evaluation of the main economic values ​​generated by the restoration of the Diawling National Park (PND) in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, a wetland of international importance, through an estimation of the direct uses of the area under the influence of the park, or approximately 55 hectares. The restoration project is the story of a real bet on people and nature, the combination of local knowledge and modern technical and scientific expertise, the power of resilience of ecosystems.
