This work describes the ecosystem approach used for the rehabilitation of the lower delta of the Senegal River in Mauritania. It analyzes the management measures implemented by the Diawling National Park since its creation. It can be considered as a complementary work to Pirot et al. (2000) insofar as its main objective is to bring the reader closer to the realities on the ground.
